While Bryan had class at the UW for a week the kids and I camped in Auntie Jenny and Uncle Zach's front yard. We have made this a tradition for the past few years and it is definitely a week I look forward to. The day we arrived we headed straight to an afternoon of THOMAS THE TRAIN. It had a been a few years since we had been and the kids were looking forward to it...
Thomas tattoos were a big hit with the kids...
The kids did some stamp art...
And then we got in line to board our train...
Finally we boarded the train and the kids settled in...
Charlie LOVED looking at Snoqualemie Falls as we passed through the woods...
After the train ride we (the adults) had had enough of the train activities and thought is was a good time to head back home...
The kids spent the rest of the day playing in the backyard...
On Tuesday we did our first big science project of the summer. Emily had been begging me for weeks to help her make slime. She had seen it on a YouTube site she watches and had memorized both the ingredients and the directions. So.... we headed into Target, bought all of the supplies and then got to work...
On Wednesday Daddy had a "work day" and decided to get his work done at the local Fall City library instead of driving into Seattle. He was hard at work all day and we were missing him so we packed him a lunch and went down to visit him...
The kids LOVE the library, especially Emily, who quickly picked a book from off the shelf and quickly devoured it!
The spent some time playing with the train tables while we waited to board our train...
Olivia was trying to smile through some tears. It is always so hard to wait and wait and wait for the train...
After the train ride we (the adults) had had enough of the train activities and thought is was a good time to head back home...
That evening we had some TIRED kiddoes...
The next morning they were up early and ready to go. Uncle Zach headed off to work and Daddy headed into Seattle for class while the kids and Auntie Jenny and I spent some quality time together...
Auntie Jenny bought passes for a local indoor play place on Groupon so we headed into Issaquah to check it out...
