February (THIRD SUNDAY)...

We celebrated a late Valentine's Day during our family get together in February.  My sister was still in town with Olivia and was itching to take part in our fabulous Jones third Sunday tradition.

Jack started us off with a little song...

 Then the kids headed outside for a little fun with the dads...

 The kids did some racing to the raspberry bushes but Emily must have tuckered out along the way...

 Back inside these two were killing me with their cuteness...

 Have I mentioned lately how happy we are to have Daddy home?  We MISSED him SO MUCH!

 Grace is a sucker for babies and she was all about Baby Olivia...

I love our time together on third Sundays with the Joneses and that my sister had the opportunity to experience it with us!

What we did while Daddy was gone...

Bryan left on a Saturday morning and I swear that the second we waved good-bye our hearts sank a little deeper in our chests.  Jenny and Olivia came up to keep us company and joined us for a super fun day at the park.  It was COLD but the rain was away and we needed to play...

On Monday we stayed inside while it poured outside and got busy with all of our Valentine's Day preparations...

The kids decorated their bags earlier in the week and we set them on the mantle, ready to be filled...

Then the kids became my little sou chefs...

We made heart shaped sprinkle donuts, heart shaped cookies and jello...

Just as the morning activities began to wear off Grandpa Jim stopped by with some early Valentine's presents for the kids...

Later that evening Charlie and Olivia got in a little snuggle time.  This little boy is so in love with his baby cousin...

Tuesday was a little bitter sweet.  I know there are a million moms out there whose husbands are gone all the time for work but I don't think I will ever get used to it.  Five days away just felt like way too long and being gone on Valentine's Day felt like the icing on the cake(even though the extent of our Valentine's Day is usually eating heart-shaped meatloaf!).  So to keep me busy from missing Bryan I focused on making it a super FUN day for the kids.

They opened their gifts right away.  Whoo-hoo!  Love that my kids were satisfied with ONE treat each and body wash!

Olivia made out with a few more things...

For lunch the kids nibbled on heart-shaped pizza, heart-shaped jello, yogurt, donuts and cookies.  Thankfully the donuts and cookies were left behind so they ended up with a decent meal...

We spent most of Wednesday playing and making this sign for Daddy...

Grandpa field trip...

Grandpa Jim has been Emily's new favorite person to take along for her field trips.  She loves her grandpa days and I love seeing the fun those two can get into together.  During the beginning of February Emily's class went on a field trip to Padilla Bay.  They showed up a little early,  stayed way beyond the rest of the class for some extra exploration and even made their way to Chuck Wagon on the way home...

I have to say that I am extremely grateful that my dad took these pictures.  It was a lot to ask since he is still recovering from his surgery and using a cane.  I am IMPRESSED!  Thanks Dad!
