play TIME...

We have been filling up our February days with as much play time as possible.  I began watching a little boy the same age as Charlie on Fridays, making Fridays, BOY days.  We do everything just around these two little ones instead of the Bigs.  Emily and Jack are super great helpers and they all LOVE having Christian with us on Fridays.

I mixed up some more edible paint for these littles and Christian had his first lesson in painting...
The following week we had two super playdates in one day.  The boys and I played with Emry and his mommy in the morning while Emily and Asher were at preschool.  Then we rushed to pick up Emily from preschool and headed straight to Olivia's house for a super fun day playing in the sun...

Jack hasn't had a chance to really ride his bike yet so he was eager to test it out...
The next day it rained and the kids went back to finding indoor activities to do.  They found the dress up clothes and were dead set on dressing up in as many costumes as possible...
Grandpa Jim stopped by with some sand for the sand box and some well needed play time...
Later that week the kids and I finally made some puffy paint (thanks Deann!).  Emily was SO excited and absolutely loved that we added several scoops of pink and purple glitter to it...
Our final products...
The following Friday we had Christian again and decided to skip the painting and play with homemade playdough instead...
That Saturday Bryan left early in the morning for New York.  We look forward to our weekends with him so Saturday felt like an extra long day.  Don't get me wrong, I was super excited for him to get to see NYC, I just missed him.  I knew the next week was going to be a long one with no extra set of hands at night and no time off at all from mommy duties so we were happy to see Grandpa Jim and Grandma Patti that afternoon as they stopped by after lunch in town.

The kids spent the rest of the afternoon throwing sand around the backyard before I finally wrangled them in for some well needed baths...
