The kids woke up bright and early Easter morning and began their search for eggs and baskets right away...
Jack is really into games these days so the Easter Bunny found the perfect little gift for him...
A new princess tooth brush is always a plus in your Easter basket...
The Lalaloopsies topped off the excitement...
The kids got to munching goodies and playing games right away...
It was a busy morning but somehow we managed to do all of our early morning activities and get to church by 9:30am...
After mass we headed back home and were joined by Grandma Emily, Grandma Patti, Grandpa Jim, Auntie Jenny, Uncle Zach, Olivia and Uncle Mike for an Easter brunch. The kids opened a few more gifts from everyone and then we sat and enjoyed some tasty food...
Auntie Jenny bought Emily's first Easter basket for her so I did the same for Olivia...
Auntie Jenny got Emily her very own butterfly house and larvae. She is so excited to watch them grow into butterflies!
We tried for one group shot of the cousins...
Then we headed outdoors to play with our confetti eggs...
The aftermath...
We attempted a few family pictures...
..but as usual this is what they mostly looked like...
The Mitchells...
This little girl was driving me CRAZY with her cuteness all morning...
We eventually came back inside to say our good-byes...
Then we headed up north to celebrate Easter with the Joneses...
After praying, eating some AMAZING food and visiting with some of our favorite people, the kids headed outside to play...
Emily, Cousin Anthony and Cousin Grace went for a little stroll...
After lots of fun playing outside the kids began their Easter egg hunting...
After a FULL day of fun-ness we headed on home to watch The Muppet Movie on the big screen with Auntie Jenny, Olivia and Uncle Mike...
Not too soon after the sugar buzz finally wore off and they all fell asleep...the perfect end to our super fun Easter!

I would have to vote Uncle Mike the best sport of the day...
I felt a little bad playing this trick on him but thankfully he just laughed it off! Next year the "flour egg" is going to be mixed in with the whole stock of eggs, making it fair game for everyone!
When the eggs were all gone the boys played in the sand box while Emily and Daddy cleaned up...
Back inside Olivia played with the bunny and taggie blanket I made her...We attempted a few family pictures...
