LYNDEN KOA CAMPING...

The weekend before school got out we went camping at the Lynden KOA with some of the other BESD administrators and their families ( Pearsons, Darraghs and the Drayers).  My favorite part about Bryan working in Burlington is the friendships we have developed with the other administrators in the district.  This is one FUN bunch of people to hang out with!

The kids and I got an early start and headed up on Friday right after school.  Bryan had to stay and work a little so we decided to swing by the Lautenbach's to get in a little cousin time...

As soon as we arrived at the campsite Bryan was all set up and the kids immediately sat down and started fishing in the pond!

We taught the kids a little about catch and release...

Charlie must have sat here for HOURS, hoping to hook a fish...

The Drayer kids are a little bit older and came well prepared with a few boats to take out on the pond...

Charlie took to Molly right away and jumped in for a ride!

That evening we had a visit from Adam Enfield and his three boys.  Our boys took to their boys just as their daddies did back in college...best friends at first sight!

Late into the evening Charlie Pearson caught his second fish!

The next morning the kids got up bright and early and took full advantage of the warm weather...

I brought only one "craft" for this trip but made it a good one since there were TWELVE kiddoes to impress...

Emily became quite the little fisherman over the weekend, spending all of her time either in the boat of the pond or casting from the road...

She even passed on a game of mini golf to continue fishing!

That evening Grandma and Grandpa Jones and the Lautenbachs came out to visit with us...

And Jake caught his first fish ever!

This was one of my favorite trips yet and I am hoping we make it an annual traditions to get all of our families together!
