July, July...where did you go so fast?

So....it's been awhile since I have been able to blog. July was SO MUCH FUN but it was insanely busy and flew by way too quickly. I am still trying to take pictures on my manual camera and then get them copied to a CD. The problem is that my lap top is on it's way to computer heaven and the CD drive just went out. Just one more thing to make blogging so much harder! So please bear with me as I do my best to recap our monthly events.

Let's start with the 4th of July weekend....

We started out the morning with some pictures on the front steps. Maybe I went a little too far this year with the matching outfits but it was fun!
Then we were off to Cornet Bay to meet the Moore side of the family for a picnic on the beach with way too much fresh crab!
Great Grandpa Jack...My Aunt Sue was entertaining Jack with a Tiger....he is destined to be a Tiger and I think I am finally O.K. with that!I made Jack his onsie for the big day...I also made Grace a matching outfit so that she matched Emily and I. She liked the dress but LOVED the lollipop!
Emily and Grace went out with Bryan and my uncle Peter to catch some more crab and then took a little stroll down by the water...
To end the night we drove all the way to Birch Bay to see the Jones and watch the fire works. It was a lot of traveling in one day but it was worth it!
The next day we headed back out to Deception Pass State Park and camped over night with my dad and Patti. Emily could stay in her jammies all day long if we let her...
and Jack was ALL about eating as much dirt as possible.
The next morning Bryan wasn't feeling so well so my dad made him a special beverage to pick him up...
and then created a nice big pancake for him...
I thought it would be nice to include some picks of how we roll when we camp. Here is how Dad and Patti roll...

After a busy weekend I really just wanted to unwind and stay home but I was feeling guilty about NEVER going down to Jenny's house so I packed up the kids and headed to Fall City. I am so happy we went! The first thing we did was check out Auntie Jenny and Uncle Zach's backyard.
Check out their new outdoor theater! They bought a projector and they just lounge outside in one of the hammocks and watch movies! How fun!
There was no lounging for us though. We headed straight to the playground. If you are wondering why Emily is missing pants let me just say that we were potty training and she had a little accident so with the help of Auntie Jenny we cleaned up the mess and put some new panties on.
Jack loves to swing and I just love how he is looking at me...

We came home the next day and relaxed outside in the backyard...a new fav of the kids.

BUSY weekend...

I am trying to catch up a little still before I get my 4th of July pictures developed and everything since then! The weekend before the 4th was a busy one but boy was it F.U.N.

On Saturday we headed to Clinton to Steph's A.m.A.z.I.n.G house on the coast for Jenny's first bridal shower. It was the first time the kids have rode on a ferry and it was quite the experience. I couldn't snap any pics because I was dealing with a very fussy Jack for the entire car ride but once we got to land and out of the car he was just fine!

Emily loved her cupcake and Steph made it even more special by adding a little candle. Every day is "Happy Day" for Emily!
On Sunday we headed out the the Shrimp Shack after church to join my dad and Patti for lunch. Then we headed back to their house to play in their yard and the beach.

Right away Emily headed for the garden for a quick snack...
and then she was off to catch the kitties...
I love this picture of both them under the apple tree we planted.Jack likes to sit there, role around in the dirt and see how much he can eat before I catch him.
Emily had to test out the boat for crabbing next week. I think she is almost ready to drive.
Then we headed down to the beach to play while the tide was still out.
I love this picture of the rocks Emily and Daddy stacked on the beach. I have a picture very similar to this taken at Ocean Shores with my dad when I was about this age.

more Cold Play

COLD PLAY...

Doesn't that say enough! I am really behind on blogging about the kids but I just had to say a little something about our incredible weekend. Bryan and I went to see Cold Play at the Gorge for an early 5th anniversary present to ourselves. With Green Eyes being our wedding song it could not have been a more perfect concert to attend. We packed up our camping gear Saturday morning and headed off. Here are a few pics I snapped with my phone...yes I am resorting to cheap pictures with my cell phone for this one!

We stayed in a state park instead of the Gorge. It was absolutely beautiful.
We arrived at the Gorge at 7pm and it was still over 90 degrees and absolutely gorgeous. Really...the only concert location I have ever seen that even came to close to comparing to this was at the ancient ruins in Athens. We are so lucky to have something so amazing so close to us.
And then the music began...words cannot describe how amazing it was! 30 seats back was looking pretty good!
P.S. Thank you Grandma Emily for taking care of Emily and Jack for us. I made a promise to myself to not mention missing them to Bryan before we left and I have to say that I did a pretty good job. Kudos to all of you who can leave your kids overnight but that was a hard one for me. When I woke up to four little girls playing in the campsite next to us I am made a dash to the car to call home and packed up our stuff in record time!

End of the year staff party...

The BEHS staff held an end of the year staff party with a baby shower theme to celebrate all of the new babies this year. Jack is the BIG one with the turtle onsie who is harassing the little girl next to him.
After the precious photo shoot the daddies had a little bottle chugging competition...
and our very own daddy won! (Really, when I heard the words "competition" and "chugging" I knew Bryan was game and the definite winner.)
Emily loved the house we were at. There were buckets of yard toys and a swing set. Not to mention she made me proud wearing her knew outfit I had made her.
Emily liked most of Jack's new gifts but this was her favorite.

Berry Dairy Days

We spent the other weekend enjoying Berry Dairy Days in Burlington. We arrived just in time for the parade and somehow managed to get front row seats.

Emily LOVED the parade and had the best seat in town. She only got down to snag a few handfuls of candy.

By the end of the parade she was tuckered out so we headed down to the park for strawberry shortcake and a pony ride. Too bad my camera battery died so I didn't get any pictures of her with a strawberry face riding a pony all by herself!

Just thought I would throw this one in....what a grand finale! My camera died just before I took a picture of the senior ladies and gentlemen riding on this float. I am sure you can use your imagination! (No offense to any of you Sedro Woolley folks reading this but I couldn't help myself!)

School's out and summer fun has begun...

Every day has brought a new adventure and we have been enjoying every minute of every day. I am way behind on posting again since I am yet to get my digital camera fixed so Fourth of July pictures may not be around for a while yet but no worries...I have PLENTY to post before then! We spent some time visiting Grandma Emily at her house. Emily LOVES playing in her garden and watering all of the plants there. I seem to never capture my mom on film so I took this opportunity to finally get a Grandma picture. I just love her new SO SHORT hair cut!
Emily was busy "working" out here all day. She isnt' into her picture being taken too much so she usually just ignores me and keeps on with what she is doing.

This is my fav and if you look really hard you will see he is trying oh so hard to sport the mohawk again.
