Christmas morning was so much fun this year! Emily is just the perfect age to really get into the whole celebration. She woke up around 7am (that is really sleeping in for around here) and ran into Jack's room to wake him up and tell him that Santa Claus was at our house. Poor Jack didn't know what to think but he was a trooper and went along with it. We all headed down stairs and as soon as Emily saw the tree and the presents underneath she couldn't contain herself. I wish I had it on video.
One by one we opened each gift...
Emily got a real sewing machine, a high chair for her baby, an ironing board and a mixer... (the sewing machine and high chair were from Grandma Emily but she wanted them to be from Santa as well)
Jack got a golf set, a horse shoe set, and a wooden work bench and a new basketball hoop although I think his favorite toys of the morning were Emily's...
Around 9am Mom, Mike, Jenny, Zach, Dad, Patti and Grandpa Moore arrived for Christmas breakfast and some gift exchanging. My poor Grandpa fell the day before and had quite the gash and bruising on his eye...
Jack checked out the doll high chair and decided it was a pretty good fit for him...
Suddenly there was a very loud knock at our door and Emily and Jack ran to see who it could be...
It was none other than Santa Claus himself...
This picture truly says a thousand words...Last year she ran for her life and this year she screamed with joy...
Then the kids helped Santa unload his bag...
Jack just kept going back for more. He really got into it...
Then we took a few pictures with Santa, gave him some hugs to thank him and he headed back to the roof to find his reindeer...

Sadly this is where my pictures end as well as my Christmas but fortunately my sister picked up right where I left off and captured the rest of the day on film and video. While we headed to the hospital Jenny and my mom took the kids up to my Grandma Fox's house for the family celebration. Apparently Emily slept through the entire event but Jack took over and was quite the entertainer. As soon as I get a copy those pics will be posted.
