complete randomness...

Over the past few weeks I took a few pictures that just didn't fit in with any other posts.

Emily began sewing a few months ago and I finally got around to taking a picture of her in action.  I am not sure what I love more...the fact that she is beginning to sew on the exact same kits that my mom used to get me or that she prefers to sew in my old nightie.  Both are a pretty precious sight...

Charlie continues to be an eating fool.  He downs anything in sight. While Emily and Jack both had a few teeth by six months, his are still working their way through.  It doesn't seem to slow him down any...
I have been a busy bee making all sorts of baby food and the freezer is now completely stocked for a good two months with carrots, peas and peaches.  When food is not in sight Charlie resorts to licking remnants from his face or eating anything else in sight...
I did some sewing and made this dress for Emily.  She has been begging me for a twirly, dancing, LONG  princess dress.  I didn't have a pattern or any new material so I used anything leftover scraps from my stockpile.  The bodice is ruched and the second two layers are gathered and flow out nicely, creating that princessy quality she just had to have.  She was so super excited to test it out at Cousin Michelle's wedding last Friday...
The wedding was beautiful as well as the bride and groom but the night slipped away from me and I only managed these two pictures.  The kids ate as soon as we got to the reception, then quickly scurried away to an area outside of the reception where they played, sang and danced on a make shift stage (the chair racks).  The cousins all played well until 9:30pm when these Joneses decided that they needed to get home as the witching hour was quickly setting in...
Emily decorated some Valentine cookies for Charlie, Jack and Anne Pearson this week and lost her sprinkles soon after she started.  This is where I found them...
On Saturday we headed down to the RV Show in Seattle for the day.  As a kid my parents took us to the Boat Show every year so it was fun to start this kind of tradition with our kids.  The kids had a blast testing out all of the "house on wheels" and Emily came to the conclusion that we MUST get a trailer with the bunk beds that have a shower curtain.  They make the best forts.  While we have a good idea of what we are going to buy in the future (Bryan has been researching them for 3 years now) it was fun to see so many different options.  The kids explored for a good two hours and then we headed to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner.

I didn't bring my camera but attempted to use my chincy camera phone.  Hmmmm...not the best quality but you get the idea...

The bunk bed with shower curtains...
Bryan's current favorite model made it there so we had to take another look inside it...

Whew...sometimes I look at the pictures I take and think...really?...do I really need to take a picture of that?... and then I see it on a post, the online scrapbook of our lives, and I am thankful that all of the little memories have been captured in a quick snap of the camera.
