after the 4th...

On Tuesday (the day after the fourth) Emily attended her first day of dance.  She has been begging me to put her in dance classes so we thought we would try out summer dance.  She is taking ballet, tap and tumbling every Tuesday.  Parents cannot stay and watch so I had to snap a few quick pictures before I ran out the door.  Since I never took dance lessons I had NO idea what I needed to get.  I managed real tap shoes, tights and a leotard but had to buy real ballet shoes for the next session along with a real bun in her hair...

 We spent the rest of the day lounging outside and soaking up every ray of sunshine we could find...

 By the time Daddy got home the pool was out and Jack was naked.  I can honestly say that I love our backyard.  It may not be my dream yard, filled with acres of grass, vegetable gardens, goats, chickens, two dogs and a cat but it definitely works perfectly for these little peeps...
