On the third Sunday in March we got a little surprise! Baby Brownie, just born hours prior to our visit, was waiting by the fence as we arrived to feed the cows. The kids were overwhelmed with excitement and Emily was quick to remind me that she had always wanted a baby brown cow for a pet...
The momma was feeling a little nervous with all of us gazing at her new born calf so we quickly got the hay down and headed on up north for third Sunday dinner...
Daddy was the best entertainer for the afternoon!

On our way home we made a quick stop at REI to do some well needed shoe shopping for the kids. Somehow the kids talked us into buying another camping board game as well. We spent the rest of the evening having family game night, well equipped with lots of popcorn and vanilla milkshakes!
On Monday after school Emily convinced me that it was a good time for her "art class." She had been obsessed with painting a painting similar to the one I did during the art class I took with Jenny in February. So when she had finished practicing guitar and her pages of homework we finally got to work...
It took two days, one to paint the background and then one to fill in the details...
But when she finally finished she was one proud little girl!
The following weekend Bryan was in class so I decided to set up the bouncy inside the house so I could get a little cleaning done...
Olivia and mommy stopped by for a play date making it all the more fun!
Two fun weekends down, one week of work (with some conferences in between) and then off for SPRING BREAK! Can you tell the count down is on?
