Trick or Treat...

I had BIG plans this year for Halloween...the whole day was planned out and wouldn't you know nothing went as planned. Let's start with the plan...

10:00 get errands done (Costco for diapers, LaConner for new shoes for the kids)
1:00 go trick or treating with friends in downtown Anacortes
2:30 go see Dad and Patti
3:30 go trick or treating in down town Mount Vernon
4:30 go trick or treating in my old neighborhood
5:30 go trick or treating in our own neighborhood
7:00 leave for the Jones' (Max's birthday party at 8pm)

Well...as most of you know I am all about kids creating their own schedule and Emily and Jack were just not up for it. We did get the errands done and we did go trick or treating in down town Mount Vernon but that is where it ended. Emily fell asleep at 5:30pm and never woke up! We never made it to see my Dad and Patti, go with friends in Anacortes or up to Nooksack but it did end up being a good day.

Bryan gave Jack a ride with a view as well headed down town to trick or treat...

Emily headed right for the lines and was a very polite fairy princess...

Jack did do some walking in his new shoes. They were a lot different than the Robeez he was used to.

Once he was down he was off and running...

It started to get incredibly crowded so we made an executive decision to take a "short cut" and head on . Minutes later Emily was sound asleep...Next year the only plan we have is to trick or treat in our own neighborhood, drink hot apple cidar, snack on orange popcorn balls and watch trick or treaters come to our house.
