The week after Christmas our house literally looked like a toy store exploded. Every toy in our house, new or old, somehow made it's way out and into every nook and cranny in our home. For days I was picking cars from my bed as I laid down and night, stepping on tractors as I made my way through the house and finding bits and pieces to every toy imaginable in the oddest places. And as hard as it was for me to ignore the clutter ALL around me, I left each piece where it was and we spent our time PLAYING all day, every day with our babies.
During "quiet time," a.k.a Charlie's nap time, I would find Emily and Jack cuddled together exploring their new Leap Pads. These kiddoes figured more stuff out on these things in an hour than I did reading about it for days. Emily LOVES reading the stories, playing the games but most of all she LOVES taking pictures of things and creating lists (I havw no idea where she gets that from!). On the first evening that she played with it I snatched it up just to see what she had been up to. In one day she had figured out how to create a "6 year old birthday list." She had taken pictures of things that she wanted and had recorded her voice to describe them in detail. Seriously, she never ceases to amaze me...

The kids are fascinated with their fish tank and begged Uncle Zach a million times to feed the fish...

Uncle Mike and Grandma went home late that evening but we Joneses stuck around for the night and spent the whole next day lounging around in our pajamas. The kids put on a concert with Olivia's new instruments...
...and Bryan and I finished Grandma Emily's puzzle...

While they spent their quiet time like this, Bryan and I spent ours like this. A little pathetic, aren't we..
On Thursday we made a quick decision to go down to visit the Mitchells along with Grandma Emily and Uncle Mike. Charlie rocked his new "Soprano" outfit courtesy of Uncle Mike. I just love the way his roley poly body looks in that Puma sweatsuit...The kids are fascinated with their fish tank and begged Uncle Zach a million times to feed the fish...
Charlie got some good cuddle time in with Grandma...
We spent the whole day/evening just hanging out...
It was the perfect way to end our winter vacation!
