BIG weekend...

Last Saturday we had a small garage sale at my mom's house.  I honestly had no intention of doing a garage sale this year but my SILs inspired me to start digging around and as soon as I did I quickly discovered that I had a lot more junk to get rid of than I realized.  When I finished cleaning out all of my stuff I cleaned out my mom's garage for her as well, giving us more than enough stuff to get rid of.  Emily was a great purger while Jack and Charlie undid most of the work I did but in the end the kids made a bunch of money for vacations this summer...

Jack took a few of our earnings across the street and bought a few more board games from the neighbors...

 That evening we headed out to my dad and Patti's to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday...

 Auntie Jenny bought this new Muppets shirt for Emily and she wanted to model it for me over and over again...

Watermelon is always a big hit on hot days..,

 I took a little stroll with Charlie and Olivia...

Then Emily decided to take Olivia for a REAL ride.  Poor Jenny was literally running in circles and Emily laid on the gas.  Olivia gets more and more like her cousin Charlie every day.  She LOVED the ride and stayed happy the entire time...

 After too much sugar we sent the kids to the yard to run...

 On Sunday we had the best day at church ever!  Charlie literally sat and sang during the entire mass, Jack sat and colored quietly as usual and Emily helped me teach Children's Church.  It was the best gift I could have ever received for Mother's Day.

After church we all headed to Grandma Emily's house for lunch and ice cream cones...

 We brought a pool to keep at Grandma's house for the summer...

It was a relaxing end to the weekend (see Bryan SLEEPING in the background) and the perfect way to spend Mother's Day...doing a whole lot of nothing!  I needed a day like that!
