Fridays are usually just boy days but last Friday we had an extra FUN day with a few extra peeps. Jenny and Olivia came up to visit for a few days and helped me take all of the kids and Christian to the park. I am sure we looked like quite the group...Emily on her bike, Olivia in Jenny's stroller, Christian and Jack in my double stroller and Charlie in the backpack. I was a l....o....n....g walk but when we finally arrived it was totally worth it!
Charlie is so in love with this little girl. He literally smothers her in kisses all day long...
Charlie is a lot of work these days at parks. He has absolutely NO fear and always seems to find the craziest thing to do and does it. This particular afternoon he was consumed with sliding down the fireman pole, jumping off the playground and climbing the bars...
We packed lunches for the kids and let them eat them at the table and grass...
Our trip back home didn't go exactly as planned. All of the swinging on the monkey bars gave Emily some nasty blisters so we had to do some crazy rearranging to get the kids back home. Let's just say that it was one of the longest miles I have ever walked in my life...
Later that evening Christian went home and the Pearsons came for dinner. Bryan and their daddy are doing their doctorate program together so while they were at their meeting us moms and kids kept each other company. This is seriously one of my favorite groups of kidlets!
The bubbles were a BIG hit...
By the end of the evening I have to say that I was thoroughly exhausted but in all the right ways. Some days just seem PERFECT and this was one of them.
