Vacation #4 (Concrete KOA)...

DAY ONE (Tuesday):
We were supposed to have one week at home this summer but we just couldn't handle it!  As soon as we arrived home from Nooksack we got online and booked four nights at the Grandy Creek KOA.  We had never been to a KOA before and quickly found out why they are such a hit.

The kids ate some snacks and watched some movies while Bryan and I got everything in place...

The sites are large and the gigantic trees shaded us from the heat...

The kids were eager to check out all of the amenities.  The BIG BOUNCE PILLOW proved to be one of their favorites...

The playground kept them well occupied as well...

Back at the campground we got out the paints and decorated the large rocks surrounding our fire pit...

Then we gathered around the fire and settled in for the evening...

DAY TWO (Wednesday):
The next day the Pearson clan came out to visit us for the day...

Jack, my cautious boy, really turned a corner this summer.  He went from my little boy who needed Mommy's hand on his bike at all times and terrified of water to a speed racer and a deep end jumper...

Emily didn't know what to think about his new obsession with her "one wheel bike"...

A little later in the afternoon the kiddoes headed to the pool...

Grandma Emily, Uncle Mike, Auntie Jenny and Baby Olivia came out to visit as well...

The kids had a blast at the pool.  There was a regular pool and then this kiddy pool, just the right size for our little guys...

Jack tested it out little by little (it was his first time ever in a pool)...

...while Emily was eager to get swimming in the big pool with Daddy...

Never in a million years did I ever expect to see THIS from this little guy...

One, two, three....JUMP!

After all of that swimming the kids were ready for some dinner...

After dinner we headed down to the bounce pillow and the playground...

Charlie has TWO favorite people lately...Baby Olivia and Charlie Pearson...

We played LOTS of Duck, Duck, Goose in the grass...

I could look at this little Peanut all day long...

Then it was off to mini golf...

The Pearson trio and Emily took a little break...

Back at camp someone got into the brownies...

Then we gathered around the fire to make some smores...

LOVE that Annie only likes to wear Emily's pajamas...

Charlie went searching for another roasting stick...

We played so hard that this precious one finally took a nap...

Charlie P had been begging me to take him to the creek and a few others decided to tag along...

But as soon as I mentioned how LONG of a walk it was going to be and reaffirmed that I would not be carrying anyone, two immediately dropped out and headed on back.

Charlie and Jack were the only two left for the long walk and steep climb down to the creek...

When we finally arrived back at camp I got in a little snuggle time with my other little girl...

The Pearsons and Auntie Jenny made their way home later in the evening and these two quickly headed into the trailer to play some Angry Birds on the I-Phone and I-Pad...

DAY THREE (Thursday)...
The next morning Uncle Mike, Auntie Jenny and Baby Olivia arrived nice and early so we headed on down to the pool.

Emily braved the big water with just her noodle...

Charlie took his first dip and LOVED it!

Olivia tested out Charlie's floaty...

 

My two precious babies decided to pounce me while I was trying to get my tan on...

 Jack tuckered out early.  All he wanted to do was play GOLF BALL so Uncle Mike gladly took him over to play some miniature golf...

We spent the rest of the afternoon leisurely watching the kids play in the grassy field...

We took a few more bike rides that evening and finally settled in a little early...

On Friday morning we got up early, packed up and headed on home to clean up, wash some clothes and then headed to dinner at Grandpa Jim and Grandma Patti's house.
