Sunday, Monday FUNDAYS

We have had SOOO much fun these past two days! It all started early Sunday morning while Bryan was gone playing basketball. I have to admit that I was a little jealous when Bryan told me he was going to start playing basketball on Sunday mornings (I still have a little baller in me) but after the fun we had on Sunday morning it has all gone away. I truly LOVE every moment with my children.

SUNDAY (the first FUNDAY)

First we played kitchen and Emily made me very hot coffee and told me to be very careful with it. She has discovered that the facets to her sink move just like real ones and just loves using "hot and cold" water.


Then she took a break to eat some ice cream. Yes this is a plastic ice cream cone....we are in her bedroom after all.


Then the music kicked in on her CD player and she was off and dancing like a fool. This particular song is sung by Elizabeth Mitchel and Lisa Loeb. She really got some air as she was jumping to catch the moon!


What started on the floor quickly led to the bed....yes, I do allow this at times...

She was singing 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and 5 Little Monkeys Swinging from a Tree (my personal favorite)!



Ok...so on this next one she stopped and started moving her hips like Elvis....I believe this is an Auntie Jenny move!

All this commotion woke up Jack (hence the sleepy eyes).


Jack loves listening to Emily sing and play her music.

Emily is fascinated by Taylor Swift. As soon as we get in the car she starts requesting Taylor. Last week she told me that, "Taylor is a great singer. I love Taylor." Bryan would be so proud if his little Emily played the guitar like Taylor.

This little piano has a microphone she can sing into. It has an i-pod attachment but my i-pod is the wrong size so she only has a few songs to choose from. In this picture she is very serious while singing "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cindy Lauper.(It came with it) I tried to join her but she shushed me.


After a serious music session Emily took a break to play with her doll house...

Today everyone was taking turns going "Pee Pee on the potty." Here is an up close picture of the dog using the potty as well. Can you tell we have be diligently potty training?

MONDAY (2nd FUNDAY)!

Monday morning started out by making some delicious banana nut muffins.

It started snowing outside and the excitement started growing in this house.


Jack was mesmerized by the snow and stared outside in a trance.

Since it was still early we decided to hold off on the snow for a while and play some puzzles down stairs. I'm not sure exactly what Emily was doing in this picture but it sure looks cute...


This was the last puzzle we assembled. There is a bulldozer, an excavator, a dump truck and a cement mixer. Are you proud I knew all of those trucks because I sure was! Emily was not going to let me off the hook! By the way...she now knows them by heart as well. What a well rounded girl!

Around 10am my cousin Grace came over for the day while her parents (my aunt and uncle) went to Seattle for the day. Emily and Grace are exactly 2 years apart and get along so well. It was the most perfect play date ever!

First they played kitchen...I think that is where we start all of our days.


Then they painted BEAUTIFUL pictures...


Then Jack went down for a nap and the girls knew what time it was...time for SNOW!





For 4 years old Grace is a strong girl. I convinced her to throw her extremely large and well packed snow balls at the octopus in the background.

After over an hour of playing in the snow we came in for some hot chocolate and mac and cheese.

Jack woke up and joined us....Go COUGS!

And after a long day of playing the girls cuddled up on the couch for one episode of Backyardigans.
