Auntie Jenny showed us her new favorite pregnant treat...
...while Charlie literally got into everything...
When Zach and Bryan finally came inside the kids greeted them with happy cheers and were ready to sing happy birthday...
Emily read the entire card to Uncle Zach all by herself...
On Saturday Bryan and I headed down to Children's Hospital for Charlie's check up while Emily and Jack stayed with my mom and Jenny. All checked out well for our little guy and they gave him a break for the next six months. While the trip down to Bellevue and appointment went well the drive home could not have been more grueling. Two and a half hours of grid lock is just no fun for a baby. We finally arrive home, much later than expected, and headed out to my dad and Patti's for a BBQ. As soon as we got there Emily jumped out of the car, anxious to check on all of her plants. My dad now had three large raised beds and Emily knew exactly which type of plant was growing in each one...
We ate a lot and did a whole lot of nothing all night...
Auntie Jenny livened things up a bit by painting Emily's toes bright BLUE.......and Charlie played in the grass for the very first time...
Then Bryan and I got into the competitive spirit and played a few rounds of whatever this game is called...
What had started out as a stressful day turned into a wonderful evening. I love that it was finally nice enough to wear shorts, play outside and take pictures with proof that the sun does occasionally shine around here.
