emily's 7th birthday...

Emily had been planning her 7th birthday party for an entire year and knew exactly what she wanted....a Native American Pow Wow party!

 

We rented the day area at Deception Pass State Park since that is Emily's favorite beach to play and build teepees on with her daddy.  She invited LOTS of friends and family and we had a glorious day...

The kids spent a lot of time playing down at the beach...

The only TRUE Native American at the party...

I had the exact same pair of moccasins when I was little...

We beaded necklaces...

Emily and Charlie...

Played in the teepee...

Emily, Olivia and Morgan...

The kids colored in a Native American color book...

Got our faces painted...

We all had Native American shirts for the day but Grandmother Willows was exceptionally special...

The kids ate...

...had some special teepee treats...

...and then headed down to the beach for a group picture...

The kids each got a few hand-made arrows to throw through the target...

Then it was time to sing happy birthday...

 

and presents...

Then the kids ran and ran and ran some more...

After her guests had left Emily did a little crafting...
