You know that new movie Four Christmases? Well we had FOUR Thanksgivings. Yes...that is correct FOUR Thanksgivings! But they were nothing like that movie. Ours were fabulous! The best part was each one was on a separate day making it the best and least stressful holiday season we have had yet. I broke down and created a schedule this year just to try to alleviate some of the chaos. With all of the traveling we do it is just too hard to make it to several events in one day, especially when I was hosting. Here is how it went...
We started out the weekend before Thanksgiving celebrating at Grandma and Grandma Jones' but it was just for immediate family.
Emily was SO excited to see Cousin Jake...
Jack made the rounds for a little while...
and found himself very comfortable with Uncle Dean reading books...
Then the kids did a little dancing to end our day...
On Thanksgiving we headed back up to Nooksack to Grandma and Grandma Jones' to celebrate with the Larson side of the family. Jack stayed awake for entire car ride...
There are so many family members that get together for the holidays that we always eat in the garage. Emily thinks this is funny but when you have a garage that looks like Grandpa Jones' it just works. As soon as we sat down at our table Emily was quick to jump up and ditch us for a seat next to Grandma Jones at her table.
Bryan's cousin Josh was sporting his new mohawk so I attempted to get a picture of the two together. Sorry, the lighting wasn't too great but you get the idea.
Finally a few shots of the kids in their Thanksgiving outfits. They started out pretty cute...
and then got silly on me.
Emily made a second round on the delicious cookies Auntie Jen made...
and Jack was trying out some new tricks on Grandpa Jones' chair.
Bryan had his own idea of "new tricks" for Jack...
Finally the kids went outside to play a little baseball with Grandpa Jones...
Then on the Saturday after Thanksgiving we celebrated a small Thanksgiving with my mom, sister and Zach at our house. I cooked my second turkey for the month (I cooked one for just our family two weeks before Thanksgiving so that we had lots of left overs). Jenny made almost everything else. The kids started to get sick so I didn't get them dressed in their second Thanksgiving outfits...sometimes you just have to go with jammies or sweats. Despite feeling a little yucky Jack discovered his new love with whipped cream...
Then while Emily took a little catnap we got out the board games... 
Both of my kids LOVE their Auntie Jenny and will trade me in any day to be with her... 
We gave Jack a second helping...
Then we stripped him down again and he occupied his time while I loaded the rest of the dishes. Lately he has been a climber. There is no keeping him down. And with six new teeth coming in he has resorted to chewing on the pacifiers that he would never take as a baby...
On Sunday we headed for a Thanksgiving brunch with my dad and Patti. Patti made a delicious egg cassarole, cinnamon rolls and plenty of fresh fruit. The kids devoured their food and then headed to Grandpa Jim's chair for a few spins...
Before long Jack was out so we headed back home...

All in all each event was a lot of fun. I felt a little guilty about not seeing any of my extended family but at least we know we will see them on Christmas. Sometimes you can just only do so much.
