My brother flew home on Sunday night and we were so excited to see him! Emily has been talking to him on the phone but just couldn't understand why he wasn't coming over. My mom gave her his old book that our grandma had made for him when he was a little boy. It was printed with a type writer and was personalized for him. Pretty advanced for back then. Anyhoo...it is Emily's FAVORITE book. She has it read to her a million times a day, will correct you if your intonation is not just right and then acts it out.
On Monday morning we woke up early and headed over to wake Uncle Mike up so that he could read the story to Emily...something she has really been anticipating...

After they had read the story 5 or 6 times it was off to the kitchen for a tea party with Emily's new tea set. Grandma Emily did some serious Christmas shopping with her friends during their annual shopping spree at U Village. Some of the presents didn't quite make it until Christmas and this was one of them. I LOVE it because it is made of tin...imagine that...it doesn't break!
Poor Uncle Mike endured about 20 cups of water and an assortment of cookies. What a great sport!
