AUGUST {let the fun continue some more}...

FRIDAY (august 19th)

Charlie finally got to sample a little chocolate pudding on Friday afternoon but I managed to clean up all of the evidence before Daddy got home...
On SATURDAY the kids and I headed over to Maiben Park to join Daddy at the BESD Back to School Fair.  Lucky for us we made it just in time to watch Daddy go in the dunk tank...

The dollars were going to a very good cause so we stocked up on as many balls as it took to get Daddy in the tank.
Emily's aim was great but she didn't quite have the strength so she had to take matters into her own hands...
The rest of the afternoon was spent watching Emily make her way back and forth from the bounce houses...
The bounce slide ended up being her favorite and since I bought her and endless amount of trips down with the purchase of a bracelet, this little girl stayed here for over an hour...
Jack didn't get the same usage out of his bracelet but I did manage to get him out of the stroller for a pony ride...
Usually after a day like this we would have been out for the count but our day had only started.  I rushed the kids home, repacked the bags and we headed to Charlie Pearson's 6th birthday party at the gymnastics center.  I had never been to this facility but we will definitely be back.  The kids bounced the whole afternoon away...
Emily and Jack both loved the Styrofoam pit best of all...

Even Charlie loved rolling and scooting around on the mats...
This party was SO MUCH FUN!  I love watching our kids play with the Pearson kids, Charlie, Jack and Annie.  They are the best of friends, there is never an argument and they play so nicely. That just makes for a nice afternoon for everyone!

On SUNDAY morning I had a little accident.  In all of the morning hustle and bustle to unload the car from Saturday's events and reload for third Sunday at the Joneses, I accidentally dropped my camera on the cement.  I literally thought I was going to be sick.  The piece that holds the battery in shattered into pieces!  We we were in a hurry to get out the door so I set the camera aside for the day and decided to take a look at it later in the evening when I had time to devour what had happened.  You will just have to take my word for it (or check our my SIL's blog) that third Sunday was SUPER DUPER fun!  The kids went on the slip 'n slide, splashed in the pools, we celebrated Uncle Dean's birthday and played hard all day long.  It was the perfect start to our last week of August.
